Drawing (288) from THE BASIS OF MAKE-UP

"A checkered landscape marked by war material on D-Day, June 6, 1944, the day the Allies invaded Normandy. CCHHILLRU-the complete edition of Churchill's writings sorted alphabetically by volume according to the letters of his name. He was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1953. On the spines, mouches volantes, little gray bars that float on the surface of our eyeballs. The impression of a bloody hand on the window or door of an endangered person in Central America as the last warning of a death squad. TOW = Theatre of War, the battlefield as a realistic theatre and theatre of the real. Connected to Churchill's writings via bars are four figures with specially marked weak points of being: 1) The regions head-toe-finger-stomach; 2) Vertigo, man as a spinning top; 3) All juices drawn to the ground, except for the brain, it's sucked up; and 4) Sex and the big knot in the head. And Churchill's last heroic words: 'Everything is so boring.'" (From: Schwarze Blöcke, SchwarzHandPresse 2010).
